    XP Pro Stops Working When Idle

    If Idle for 1/2 hour or less my system stops working (no SP2)- When i click the icons on the desktop nothing happens and right click does nothing. I can go to Start but cannot open up any programs. I can go to regedit, etc. and I can shut down using Start key, etc. any suggestions

    Audio Volume Lower Than Normal

    Several weeks ago I noticed that the audio volume on my system was suddenly lower than normal. MP3 files play well but do not blast anymore; some camtasia software demo programs I made are very difficult to hear with volume turned all the way up; MSN messenger chat very difficult to hear, etc...

    The "My Computer" icon has disappeared from my desktop. Any ideas on how to restore it? thanks
