I upgraded a computer from XP home to XP Pro. The administrator folder in the documents and settings folder now has the name administrator followed by a string of letters and numbers. Is there a way to rename it to get rid of them.
Thanks.

A computer that I support has a wierd problem. I had to reformat and reload XP Pro because of damage from a virus. After that, any sound, windows produced, or CD played in the drive would wobble. I eventually found some unregistered DLL's and registered them. This fixed the sound wobble right...
This is probably a stupid question, but I'll give it a try.
Does a device exist that will interface a computer and a copier/fax machine and make it so that it could be used as a printer through the telephone jack?
A client had a system crash. Wouldn't boot up. System restore didn't work either. Client then choose recovery which put it back to day one. Question is: Are any files recoverable using recovery software, or is it all truely gone, since the partitions were deleted and restored.

In Win XP Pro, when you share a folder, the Everyone share is automatically set. It has to be manually removed to properly secure the folder. Is there a hack that prevents "everyone" from appearing when you share a folder. Just in case you forget to remove it manually.
After messing around with IE7 for a couple of months, I had to go back to IE6. My HP photo director would not open and my dynamo label maker would not print. It wouldn't even recognize as being plugged into the USB. I uninstalled IE7 and both items are alive and well now.
