    toner out message

    I have a hp 4100n printer. We recently changed the toner cart. and can not get the lcd display to stop reading "toner out". I I used an non-HP cart. and changed the defaults for a non-hp cart. but still get "toner-out". Any suggestions for correcting this? Thank you Bob
