ifconfig hme0 plump/unplum error bad address
have tried all the tricks i have come across the forums but still no success. The machine looses it Ip settings on reboot with the message configuring IPv4 interfaces hme0 bad address and yet its files ie hosts, netmasks, defaultrouter etc are perfectly correct. init command is respawning too rapidly
Init command is respwaning rapidly, check for possible errors. ID: SV "/usr/bin/sshd2 -D -q" sh: /bin/mail: not found sh: /bin/cat: not found. Please techies help me out on this, whats the cause of it and how do i solve it?- ngabo

how do i get the Ok prompt on Sun E250 from a windows keyboard
Thaks guys alot,but i have tried the F5 and ctrl+alt+pause options to get the ok prompt without any success and at what point do I invoke the stop? What key combination from a windows key board would achieve the STOP effect like a sun keyboard. I would like to solve this problem /var/adm/utmpx...- ngabo

Can not login as root nor have a telnet access to sun enterprise 250
Hello wxperts, when i reboot my server, the system comes up ok but at console login when i enter root i can not get access ie the server does not even ask for passowrd. Instead am getting the following error message /var/adm/utmpx not owned by root or not mode 644 error?, how do i get over this...- ngabo
