hello there i wonder if any one can help me i have an old compaq deskpro and am experiencing the following beep codes on start up 2 short followed by one long a reasonable pause and then 2 more short any help would be appreciated

Can anyone help ? Using windows 98 it boots up fine to the main large logo page but from there instead of the desktop appearing containing all the icons i get only a blank screen. The mouse is present but niether left or right clicking achieve anything. Any Ideas?

Probably a daft question but i recently used Dreamweaver to design a basic site containing images and text. The pages looked great on my machine but on others the text has changed size and pushed the images into different locations. Is this a problem with the way i have formatted the text ?
