Office XP EULA becoming very repetitive

Word document crashes machine
A colleague is receiving word documents which crash her machine - she runs W2KPro and O2k. She sends to me - I'm running XPPro and OXPPro and I open them no problem I send back to her as RTF and from there out she has no problems.
