    ok guyz, i am trying to write a program which will detect when my machine is being pinged by some one.as ip headers do not contain port numbers.is it possible to write such a program?

    Cannot connect to the net from linux

    hi people, when i login to linux using a dial up i am able to get through the connection.but after this i am not able to open a single site.netscape just times out.also i am not able to ping any site. any ideas?
