Does anyone know if there is a way to find the file location of the framework for a published package?
i've found that we have a couple of copies of the same framework with the same package names and apparently this specific package that is published is not coming from what should be the "good"...
We are in the process of upgrading our SQL Server Databases to 2005, so there are actually two instances of the databases on our development server - one 2000 and the other 2005. They have copied our development content store from 2000 to 2005 and detached the 2000 version.
We have entered...

A couple of weeks ago we moved our oracle databases from a Windows 2003 server to a Windows 2008 server and upgraded them from 32 bit processing to 64 bit processing. The transition has been perfect with all our...

good morning all!
Does anyone know if there is a way to publish a package and allow users to run the report against the package, yet hide the package itself so that end-users with query studio cannot see or use that package on their own?
This is a on going debate in our office this week...
Good morning!
i did search and found an old entry that got no response, so i'm going to ask again.
Is it possible to change the angle or orientation of the text in a column, or more specifically a column header? This is possible in Excel and is referred to as the Text Orientation and is set...
Is there a way to allow the end-user to choose the sort column? I'm sure it's very common to create a list report that might be used for several purposes, and as in my case with employees, being able to sort by ID or Name or Supervisor at the end-users descretion would certainly make for a more...
i have a database with several linked oracle tables from our prod db that i only have select permission to. there is also code in the background connecting (ADODB) to tables in our test environment (tables not linked in .mdb, oracle as well), and for now, i am the only one with update or insert...
In a report i'm building, i have 5 data providers (so far). Is there a way to name these Data Providers so i can reference them by which section of the report they apply to?
Seems like it should be possible, i just can't find it.
thanks in advance!!

I don't want to be guilty of duplicate posting, so if this is the incorrect forum for this question, please redirect me. I'm using Access 2002 and i'm building a form with data from linked SQL Server tables.

My supervisor has asked me to find some training for Crystal Reports for myself and one other designer/developer. In addition, I’ve been tasked to find some guidance towards what version we should seek to acquire. I’ve been reading thru the posts on training and versions trying to find some...
I have a VB application that is creating an Excel file. it is used to report to an Insurance Provider, and they specifically need to be able to open it in Excel 5.0 format. They are using Visual Fox Pro 5.0 and according to my contact there, it won't read anything more current.
We however are...
Can someone send me the 'paper' skrandle has recommended on the differences between contexts and alias, and when to use each? woodrg @ frmaint.com (remove spaces)
I've read in this forum if a context is created properly, there should be no need for the user to be prompted to choose. I think i...
I previously posted this inappropriately in the SQL Server forum not realizing syntax would be different. So sorry for duplicate posting!
I've done a search on a few sites for the answer to this, and i think i'm not finding it because it is too basic. But still it seems to be a valid...
I've done a search on a few sites for the answer to this, and i think i'm not finding it because it is too basic. But still it seems to be a valid question, and possibly a useful trick, so i'll ask anyway.
I am creating a reusable component in vb that will retrieve personnel specific data for...
I have put together some charts for one of our staff members (he can't use the software like all the other end users). The files themselves are saved out on the server so that he can get to them from his own workstation and refresh and print as he needs to do so. The charts look great on my...
