    pole display (vfd) question...

    am in the process of building a pc pos system for my cafe and want to add a pole display. found a great deal on ibm 4683 displays - can these displays be configured to work with a pc pos system (windows xp) or do they require proprietary drivers/software/hardware? thanks very much for any help.
