error while running multiple instances of apache

Creating multiple instances of Apache
Hello, I would like to start apache with 2 configuration files (httpd.conf) each for one application running on 2 different IPs so that I can stop and start the webserver without affecting the other. I know one way to do is thro virtual host but I donot want that way. Has anybody done this...- vanibhat
