My OTM used to work fine for years, but recently I cannot perform any status, enable, disable etc with PE units. If I do a network loop status etc it works ok there. It fails everything to do with PE units. It says "status command failed" or "enable failed". Anyone find a solution to this...
I have an 81C with one xcmc card installed in loop 24 x x.
I also have loops 4, 8 and 20. Do I need to have one of these XCMC cards in each loop or is just the one that I have in loop 24 sufficient?
The reason behind the question is that I am having trouble with MWI on the newly installed...
I have an Octel 250 with SW 3.11.05-1.
I have been having a problem with (analog only sets)ie AAsta 9316CW phones. Since installing hundreds of these that replaced Nortel 8009's and 8314's the message waiting light either does not light when there are new msgs or it is lit when there are no...
I have a 250 and when setting up new mail boxes through the WYSE terminal, by default it picks the class 1 mailbox (small) which has been ok till now.
The powers to be now wants new m/b builds to automatically pick the class 2 (Medium) as the default . In other words, how can I do this...
Is it necessary to reboot a 250 every so often? No one has ever told us to do this and someone else told me that this should be done like every six months to keep the hard drive data in order, sort of like a defrag in windows. The discussion came up when talking about when I had to turn msg...
We have an Octel 250 with 3.10.09sw. For five years it has been very reliable. We do keep the filter clean, do tape backups etc. We have had no service contract with it. Avaya says it can still provide support till 2011 with parts and service. We have a 24 port (digital) system with a lan...
I have a Octel 250 with 3.10.09-1.
When I build a new MB the default is a "No" for unheard message reminder. Is there a way that I can change the default to yes. Also, is there a way that I can do a global change for the mail boxes that are presently built? I would like to change the NO'S to...
I have an 81C on Succession 3.
The powers to be are thinking of installing a Polycom vsx 7000. They want to go ISDN 2 pair out of the Nortel instead of IP. My guess is an ISDN arrangement uses TN'S? For starters, can anyone tell me what type of cards are needed in the Nortel. I might already...
Have an 81c with succession 3.0. A few of the last 3904's installed come up with a version 8.3. but most are 8.7. I understand that flash updates to the 3904 is not automatic when the set is installed. I only use OTM for updates etc. There is an option in OTM to do a "normal" flash download to...
I have an 81C and cpu 0 has a problem. I don't have the Cpu part# available right now but the cpu consists of a floppy, internal hard dr. and cd drive. My good Cpu assembly has a release 7 level. If my bad CPU zero has to be replaced can any release level be used or does it have to match my...
I have an Octel 250 with 3.10sw. Is there a way to display all mail boxes associated with a particular mail box type? In my case I have some users that have outcall capability and I don't know who they are. They were assigned to a type 15 mail box which gives them outcalling to a pager.
I have an 81C,(Rls 25.30)with 6 T-1's. None are ISDN. I want the ability to communicate with a G3 (not co-located) by just dialing the last four digits of the phone at the other location and vise versa. I'm told that a new ISDN T1 between the two switches is the way they want it to happen. Can...
I have an Octel 250. I frequently add/remove mailboxes. which are class of svc 1 and type 0. When I add a MB in menu 8, the message waiting indicator is always defaulted to N. How can I change the default to Y ?
My first batch of 3904's that I've had for a while have a stickers on the phone that say: RLS 3, but no firmware number. Manufacture date is 2/28/2003
Months later I recv'd more phones that have an 8.3 firmware number and RLS 2 on the phone's sticker. Manufacture date 7/22/2003. The outside...
Using an 81C. This only happens with analog sets. The type of analog set makes no difference. An outside or inside call does the same thing.
Here's what happens: Assume that two or more users are in the same call pickup group. A call comes in to phone A, and no one is sitting there to...
System 81C. This is in reference to Analog sets. If an incoming call is picked up by another extension using spre13 code, the caller hears a sharp momentary tone. Does anyone know how to kill the tone?
