    Laptop power adapter question.

    I have a laptop that requires an 18.5 volt 2.4 amp output ac adapter. I found an adapter with the same plug that is 18.5 volts but 3.8 amps. Will the 1.4 extra amps hurt anything inside my laptop?

    Nec Versa 6230 laptop..no memory, no boot???

    I have a Nec Versa 6230 laptop, someone removed all the memory modules. It has no memory and it turns on with green light, but no video for bios screen. Is that common? Does it need memory to boot to bios screen?
