I have a server that is is behind a GRE tunnel. This much works. I can get to the server with the GRE tunnel. What doesn't work is then a masquerade setup that works without the gre tunnel.
So this is what things look like:
GRE-->iptables-->server
^ Entry here ends at iptables

I have need of getting my hands on a copy of Exchange 2003 trial. A search of Microsoft.com shows that it is really hard to find a copy. http://www.microsoft.com/australia/windowsserversystem/products/exchange/evaluate.mspx comes up in Google, but the download link is dead...
Vista netstat -a shows only hostname, and not the FQDN on my install. Any ideas? I've searched around, but I can't seem to find anything close to this.

thread931-1218500 is closed and I had some problems/questions.
I'm trying to set this up so that users can login with their credentials and see their directory (ala chroot/user isolation) on IIS6 and W2k3. Each time I try this, it tells me it cannot find the user's home directory. So in the...
When we try to manage the CME through the web interface, we get a JavaScript error. Well, a lot actually. They all reference frames, which tells me it can't find the frame it is looking for. For example, if we go to http://[insert ip here]/ephone_admin.html, the page starts to load, but tells us...
Per the subject, I don't want users to do any sort of url hacking and guessing filenames in a directory. With Apache, this is easy to do with a .htaccess file, but IIS lacks similar functionality, from what I can see. Is there something I'm missing? A config change I need to make? I know how to...
I'm trying to diagnose a problem we have with SMB. I think I've narrowed it down to dynamic NAT as when I set it to static NAT, it works just fine. Or is this just coincedence?

Here's what's going on.
The primary pix, which as a UR license is set to be failover. The pix with the failover license is set to be the primary. The DHCP servers are set to issue the gateway address for the failover firewall which is set to be the primary. So basically the firewall with the...
I'm losing serious sleep, and hair, over this. I've worked one case with Microsoft and about to work another, and can't get this resolved.
Here's the rundown of what's happening.
- Profiled and non-profiled* machines can't print. It isn't everybody (I've not yet had trouble printing, knock on...
I'm trying to get the following to work: echo -e '\e[32m\e[05mSuccess\033[0m'
It outputs okay, but the 05m attribute doesn't act as expected, it instead surrounds the text in a gray background.
I hoped in to a couple of IRC channels one person got it working just fine in Gentoo, so I'm...
I have 2 blank registry keys in HKLM\currentcontrolset\services\
If I try to expand expand them, they both continue to expand with seemingly no end. Anybody run in to this? 2k server, SP4 with current patches.

This message is appearing more and more for people on our install when people have their Outlook open and minimized. I don't use our Exchange server, so I haven't experienced it myself. I have searched around google, but so far everything hasn't been answered.

After 4 weeks of talking with Microsoft trying to figure out why our clients behind a NAT with PAT overflow are trying to ping the heck out of our public domain controllers, they have come to the conclusion that it is because ICMP is disabled on the firewall. We have ICMP disabled on the...
We received the following error on both a networked (by default) black and white printer and a color printer that we added an external jetdirect to.
PCL XL error
Subsystem: KERNEL
Error: IllegalAttributeValue
Operator: VendorUnique
Position: 9
I'm not sure if it is OS related or printer...
I attempted to post this to the forensics list at securityfocus.com, but a moderator failed to properly read my email and denied my message.
I'm looking for a preferably Windows opensource C++ program to analyze the log files from various web servers, namely Apache and IIS. I need the progam to...
I have some Windows XP clients that are pinging the heck out of our domain controllers. Packet traces (which I don't have on me at the moment) look like your typical ICMP ping echo request. Type 8, code 0, payload is ABCDEFHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYABCDEFGH (in all caps, as opposed to the payload being...
Hi guys,
My boss is wanting to ghost a Windows 2k server with RAID 5 to a server with RAID 5. I have already expressed my concern about doing this as the server in questions has a number of problems in the OS and software installed, but he's wanting to do this. So, anybody have any...
In C:\Windows\Debug\, usermode folder is missing. I'm local administrator right now on a machine joined to the Windows 2000 domain, and I see the following files:

oakley.log - 0 bytes

Netsetup.log - 32 kb

I searched around and couldn't find anything in this forum about WPS. Anybody familiar with WPS? I wasn't sure whether this should go in the 2k3 forum or here. Basically what I need is information on the web frontend. I know you have to write your own. Has anybody seen one someone has written...
I've run in to this before and was able to fix it, but nobody in my office can remember how it was fixed last time. I have a Windows 2000 Active Directory environment with mandatory profiles on XP Pro clients on SP1 and up. Logging in with standard user permissions to the profile in question...
