Here is a strange one that I've been struggling with. Clicking on any of the links below should work fine. But if you copy and paste the links directly into the address bar in IE (tried 7 & 8) only the 2nd pair will work. They are the exact same documents (one PDF, one Word DOC just to confirm...
More and more, a single user's IE and Acrobat will cause sustained spikes in CPU utilization that will slow down everyone on the server. We have 6 servers supporting about 70 users, so between 8 and 12 users on a server depending on the day. The servers are all dual CPUs, with 2-4Gb of RAM each...
This problem is document specific but is occuring to a user on a regular basis. Pressing the CTRL-U, B or I to get underline, bold or italics does not turn on/off that feature. Also, clicking the toolbar icon for those features does not seem to work either. You can select text and then bold...
Although this seems like more of a desktop forum, I have found no other suitable place.
We are running Symantec Mail Security for SMTP 5.0 with the latest patches, virus definitions, etc. I spent over two hours with tech support verifying the settings are correct.
I get about 10-20 alerts...
MF XP on W2k sp4. Users cannot seem to change the open in Acrobat 7.05 reader to open PDF in the browser or not. If I do this as admin, the installer will start to launch, then error out with Error 1327: invalid drive. I get the same error if in install mode.

Citrix MF XP on Windows 2000, SP4. Outlook 2003.
In Outlook 2003, if I already have IE open, clicking on a link within an e-mail does not work. If I close IE, clickin in the link opens IE with the page. Any suggestions on where to look to fix this?

I know this is more of an Outlook question, but you can't support Exchange without supporting Outlook, so here goes.
If I open an attachment from within an e-mail, it launches Word. I can edit and save the document. The edited attachment is still part of the e-mail. And I no longer have the...
I have a GPO that locks down the desktop for my Citrix servers. For some reason, icons that I place in the "All Users/Desktop" do not show up for the users. I have double-checked the rights and they do have rights to that directory and the "All Users" profile.
I know I must have turned this...

AD Windows 2003 R2 servers
I am migrating from a NetWare backend to a Windows backend and have run into a problem on my Citrix servers. I cannot seem to add and AD-based groups or users as Citrix administrators or to published applications in Citrix. When I attempt this...
On my DC, I cannot get the Exchange Tabs to show in AD Users and Computers. I have installed the Exchange System manager tools on the DC (and the service pack), and I have changed the view to Advanced - no luck.
The DC is a W3K R2 64bit. I know the Exchange cannot be installed on a 64bit OS...
I am looking for comments/gotchas/etc on the following permissions strategy. Here is how I set up rights/shares:
1) At the top level folder (not drive)
a) Uncheck allow inheritable permissions and select copy rights.
b) Add domain admins with full rights
c) Remove the...
When printing a document with track changes, if I print in BW to a printer which is capable of color, certain changes (ones shown in red on the screen) do not appear at all. If I open the EXACT same document and print to the EXACT same printer as another user, it prints ok.

4 identical Citrix XP FR3 Windows 2003 SP4 servers in a single farm with users connecting to a published desktop. Recently on each server, we will start getting error 2020 - "The server was unable to allocate from the system paged pool because the pool was empty".
Users cannot log on. Downing...
We went from GroupWise 6.0 to GroupWise 6.5 recently. For at least one user they noticed that in their archive several of the older e-mails have lines through them. The text is fine. It's just when you look at the list the sender, subject and date text is crossed out.
I've searched around and...
Got a client that got listed at Sorbs. I've been through the traditional removal procedures, but no response from them AT ALL.
The server is well protected - behind a firewall, Symantec SMTP anti-virus/spam gateway, fully patched, etc. I've been through all the logs during the "suspect" period...
BE 8.x. Running fine for many months without incident. Recently started prompting for a second tape. It is a DLT tape drive and DLT tapes with 40GB NATIVE capacity. The total amount to backup is about 34GB.
If we erase the tape, sometimes - but only sometimes the backup will complete without a...
Running XP 1.0 on Windows 2000 SP4. I did the most recent Windows updates which included the upgrade to Installer 3.1. Since then, when I run ConsoleOne ver 1.35 (Java-based app for NetWare management), it blue screens the server with a
KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
error. I can still run the...
Since performing the most recent Windows 2000 updates on our Citrix servers, running ConsoleOne 1.35 blue screens (crashes) the Citrix server hard. We can still run 1.33 fine, but the GroupWise docs indicate you need to be running the latest version.
I know you can't use NetWare administrator...
GW 6.0 (sp2) running on NetWare 5.1 sp7. Not sure how widespread the problem is yet but:

3) Go to properties of the same sent item, the recipient list there...
