    Win98SE free memory problem

    Everytime I try to use Scandisk or Defragmentation it says I dont have enough free memory to run. I know the problem is Windows dose'nt recognize anything over 8GB on Hard drive, But whta is the solution PLEASE HELP driveing me crazy>Thanks
