We are using sco 5.0.6 and it seems that someone has locked up our root account by attempting to login too many times with the wrong password. is there a way to reset it as a standard user?
we are running sco 5.0.6, just the other day the pop3 ability stopped working. I am unable to use an email client such as outlook to get the mail from the server.
if logged in directly to the server, the mail can be sent nd received, but pop3 is not working.

I have changed our IP address put in our new firewall. I changed the scoserver IP and the DigiBoard IP and gateway and dns, all those settings are good. My problem is There is a file somewhere that is still holding on to the old IP and I can seem to find it.

I just installed sco on a server for the first time. I have setup my ip address in the /etc/hosts file, and setup DNS address in /etc/resolv.conf

I have had troubles getting SSH installed on SCO. but I finally found an easy solution. for those who are trying to do this and are having problems here is the easiest way to get OpenSSH to install and work on SCO 5.0.5 or above:
