I have an 8570 printer and just purchased an ink loader for the 8870. An 8870 configuration card is also on its way. These are the only two parts in the service manual that differ between the two printer...
I am working a 7,010.43 error which I narrowed down using the diagnostics mode of the printer. To do so I needed a Phaser 8400 Service Manual. No link in this forum but I found one at Xerox so i thought I would pass it along...

I occasionally need to reset my 850DP printer. I prefer to do this so that the minimum amount of ink is used. What's the best way to do this ... I use one of three ways:
1) Simple, quick, uses ink ... turn off the printer using a quick power-down.
2) Slower, more complicated, but does not use...
Any suggestions as to how to prevent my 850 from periodically (every 3-4 weeks) forgetting its AppleTalk connection? I have a Mac OS/9 user that cannot still uses AppleTalk and she can;t see the printer. The only fix is a reset of the printer.
