Further to my other thread I've discovered that the reports calculate the wrong values in a print or print preview.
A bit of Googling as confimed that it appears to be a general bug in Access (dating from Access 97!).
Can anybody suggest a way round it?
I've got a database of projects which has worker's time and materials tables, separate tables and linked via a project number field.
I've created a project summary report that shows details of the project and brings in two subreports - one for any relevant time and one for any relevant...
Hi - sorry for the long intro but please hang in there with me! After reading through loads of forums, FAQ's and setup guides I've become a bit confused.
I'm involved in setting up a new company and we've registered three domains (a .com, .co.uk and .net) and we've got a webserver at a webhost...
I'm involved in a project thats using Sharepoint (the free download) on a Windows 2003 Server and I'm trying to work out a backup strategy for it.
I've just tried doing a SMIGRATE backup in order to practise moving it to another server, but it stops immediately at the Connected to site entry...
Hi, quick query if I may.
We have an account that is set to forward to an external address (the user works remotely). If the Out of Office reply is setup, the replies it sends have the external address as the source and not the users address on the Exchange server.
Is there something we have...
I'm trying to install SP2 on two machines, and both are failing at the same point with "update.exe - Application Error, The instruction at "XXXXXXXXXX" referenced memory at"XXXXXXXXXX". The memory could not be "read" - and the last lines in the SVCPACK.LOG file says
163.565: GetFileVersion of...
I've had a look but can't find an answer to this.
I need to rebuild a SBS2003 server because of a major change of drive hardware (ie adding RAID card and new drives etc).
Is there a way of re-attaching the XP and W2K clients to the domain but keeping the same users profiles? In the past I've...
I've spent some time looking but can't find the answer to this.
I want to change a server from SCSI to a SATA RAID setup.
Is there a way to "move" SBS2003 from the SCSI drives to a SATA setup and boot successfully? If not, and I have to rebuild, is there a way to "backup" and/or "move" all the...
I look after an SBS2003 server and have a user that dials in via a 56k modem to access files. We've had a few problems with trojans etc and I suspect that its this user as he's bit of nightmare when it comes to computers.
Is there a way of firewalling a modem connection (TCP/IP filtering?) to...
We have SBS2003 and recently it started to send multiple copies of each mail, sometimes up to 10 or so copies, on every other email (seems to happen for all users) - all received by the recipients over a period of a few hours.
I've installed Service Pack 1 for Exchange 2003 and now it seems...
I've battled for a few weeks now to get SBS2003 to backup automatically, and I've tried some of the scripts mentioned here earlier as well. I've use both the wizard and the command line options as well.
The problem all the time is the media - it seems that once a tape has been used and the name...
Hi All
I have just come accross a strange problem at one of my clients.
They are using the Outlook from Office XP and are not using Exchange. They have a distribution list setup in the contacts list which has worked fine, but recently some contacts have had to be removed from the list so the...
Hi All
From what I've read its best to change the default port of 3389 for Remote Desktop activities.
What would be the best port number to change to (I assume that there is a suitable range available?) and where would it be changes on a SBS2003 server? And client?
Thanks in advance!
Justin
Hi All
I'm trying to set up remote access to a SBS2003 which is behind a 3COM Firewall 25. Both the firewall and the server are on the same switch as the rest of the network (the server only has one NIC) - the clients browse directly through the 3COM.
Can somebody tell me which ports and...
Hi, I've just been to a site where one building has an intermittent connection to the network - if I ping the server sometimes I will get a reply 4 times in a row, others maybe 2 or 3 times.
Cable length I would imagine is about 80 metres from the hub.
I assume that it must be down to signal...
Hi
I have a client who wants to change his server to RAID0 using Adaptec's ATA1200A card and two 40GB drives instead of his existing 8GB drive.
I assume that I would be able Ghost the existing drive to one of the 40GB's, then install the RAID card and other drive and setup the mirror in the...
