Need GNU gcc 3.0.1+ binaries for AIX 4.2.1
Hi Folks, as per the title, I need GNU gcc version 3.0.1 or higher for AIX 4.2.1 and the Bull freeware site has a non-working link for AIX 4.2.1 so I'm wondering if anyone can point me to a download site for the binaries elsewhere? Thanks, Bernie. -
How to modify default stanza in /etc/security/user?
As per the title, how to modify the default stanza in /etc/security/user? I can use chuser to change parms for defined users but on most of our systems we simply use the default values. It appears that chuser won't acept 'default' as a valid userid (fair enough!). Any ideas how I can do this... -

Automating chdev command
We need to run a chdev command every time we add a new hdisk: chdev -l hdiskn -a queue_depth=8 -a rw_timeout=60 I believe that it may be possible to automate this via smitty/ODM so that cfgmgr runs this automatically when it finds a new hdisk? Can anyone explain how to get started on this...
