    Are there any appreciable diffrences in battery life on idential system running Win2000 Pro vs WinXP Pro? If running XP, Visual Effects will be set to Max Performance settings. Machine in question is 1ghz/256mb RAM HP Omnibook 510

    Spanning RAID 5 across storage systems

    Can I span a RAID 5 volume across storage systems? Such as using a Smart2/DH to create a RAID 5 volume consisting of 6 disks in a StorageSystem U2, and 4 disks in the drive cage of a Proliant 3K? Or would all disks have to be on the same channel, using multiple StorageSystems?

    Proliant 3000 no boot

    I have a Proliant 3000 with 100mhz FSB board, that won't boot. The only sign of life it gives, is a little orange LED near the center of the board, just below the PCI slots. Anyone have any idea what this could be, or know where I can find a trouble shooting manual?

    I just bought a P3 board for my Proliant 3000 6/300. I don't currently have any ECC Registered SDRAM, will the system boot with just ECC PC100? I want to make sure that the system board is not DOA.

    Is there anything that would stop one from replaceing the 4.3GB drive in a Proliant 3000 drive sled (199598-001) with a larger drive? The electronis on the sled look dumb, so I am guessing there wouldn't, but I have been known to be wrong. I should be able to replace it with any 68pin LVD...
