I have a customer using Excel 97...this customer says that the files have 'reverted' to files saved over a year ago. Same file names and with new dates of June 26, 2001 but there is no data in the files newer than March of 2000.

I have a customer's machine that loads Win95 to the point of displaying the wallpaper. Then a dialog box opens and says that the folder cannot be opened, the path is too long.
the title bar of the dialog box is Desktop.
The only option then is to ctrl-alt-del to restart.

After replacing old scanner with new one the 'Spontaneous Shutdown' problem went away...more or less. Now when switching profiles the shutdown occurs. Again, I am baffled...any ideas? Other than switching to LINUX?
We have isolated the behaviour of Win2k...(I think). The machine reboots or shuts-down while surfing the 'net. Modem was replaced (USR was used in place of original Actiontek). Behaviour remains the same. Any firther ideas?
