    Scrolling in Word 97

    OK, Here's my first dumb question. How do I slow down the scrolling in Word 97? For example, highlighting a couple of lines in a paragraph. When I try this I usually end up highlighting all the way to the bottom of the document. I dont have this problem in Excel. Thanks for any help!
