Hi,

Hi,
Is there a way to monitor or log the changes that are made in the permissions on a file or folder ?
So if I set permissions to a folder I want to know when someone else makes changes to them.
Is this possible in Windows or with the use of additional software ?
Thanks,
Richard

Hi,
We have a NT4 domain with several Windows 2000 servers in it. Last weekend we installed some Windows security updates on several servers. Nothing special about this so far.
However, on Monday I noticed that I can't browse one specific W2K server from one NT4 server and 2 NT4 workstations...
Hi,
We use a programme which came with a MS SQL Server (8.0.760).
I noticed that sqlserv.exe consumes a lot of memory, so much that there is no memory left.
I was wondering if it is possible to limit the amount of memory that sqlserv.exe uses. We don't have any management tools for mssql so I...

So I was wondering if it is possible that these users only have access to 1 or 2 websites and block everything...

I search the MS knowledge base but didn't find anything.
Anyone...
Hi,
I'm having trouble with opening a tif file in internet explorer 6.

I removed quicktime but that didn't do much good so I reinstalled it...

Hi,
I have a problem with a telnet session to a non-standard port (259 instead of 23).
I need to make a telnet connection on port 259 to a specific IP address. I have to log on and after that I start a Citrix client which connects to another IP address.
During the time the Citrix client is...
Hi,

Hi,
We are in the middle of a test setup to update our NT4 servers to 2000 with AD.
We have 2 NT4 servers, a PDC and a BDC. Both are upgraded to win2000. We started with the PDC and this is the server where we first ran the AD wizard.
We were wondering what the function of our old BDC will be...

I'm about to defrag our Exchange 5.5 database as it has exploded (it's now 11,5gb) since we encountered a massive mail loop from a user who was away from the office while all his mail was forwarded to a hotmail account.
The only problem is that I only have 600mb left on the drive where the...
Hi,
