Restrict dynamic data based on UserID/psswd

Coldfusion Integration
I need solid information on: 1) If Coldfusion 5.0 and CR 8.0 will effectively talk to each other. This does not seem to be supported in any clear documentation at Seagate/Crystal Decisions or Macromedia. <cfreport> is questionable at best. What are the alternatives?- amatson
