    run-time error 429 with driver detective

    i downloaded driver detective.every time i try to locate a driver i get the following: "run-time error 429.... active X cant create the object. this is the first time i have seen this one. am running windows XP on a pentium 4.i do have zone alarm and norton anti-virus installed. thanks

    floppy disk problem with bios update on a pent 4

    have downloaded 4 different bios updates for a gateway computer over the past 9 months. each time is download the file to cabs and copy to a floppy as per instructions.when i try to boot from the floppy i get "non-system disk or disk error' my device manager tells me the floppy disk works...
