Best RAID Solution for Oracle 8i
I have been hearing desenting views as to what version of RAID provides the best performance for Oracle8i. Is RAID 0+1 preferable over RAID 5? Please identify why in your response.- bbryantf

On a Sparc 5 running Solaris 7 release date 3/99, we receive the message 'ls.so.1: internal: malloc failedKilled' when submitting df -k at the command prompt. We assume that we have corrupted memory. Invalid Desktop Shell
I have had some problems restoring the login/desktop shell in Solaris 7. I have been able to change the shell for root and logon from the command line. However, I have not been able to get the desktop to accept the shell as valid. what do I need to do to correct this. I seem to recall...- bbryantf
