We have a Cisco WS-C2950-1z running version 12.1(19)EA1c.
We are having trouble figuring out how to setup this switch for Mac filtering.
There are three workstations connected to it, and one crossover cable to another switch. We'd like to turn off all unused ports and set Mac filtering on the...

I am able to ftp into port 443 from the outside. I shouldn't be able to should I?
Then I turned off the Web Publishing service and can still ftp into it?
Sounds suspicious, doesn't it?
Any ideas how I can find out what application would be using or listening into port 443?
Thanks in advance...
I've got a really weird problem for you. About a few months ago I lost the ability to cut and paste text other objects properly. This is really frustrating as I use this all the time. What's happening is that I seem to be able to cut or copy ok, but when I go to paste the text or object I get...

When we login to yahoo mail and press "compose", it just hangs....pressing reload a few times may bring up the new mail screen, but usually it just hangs until I force the browser closed.
Also, if I'm...
We changed our PC from a Win98 operating system to WinXP. We reloaded Corel WP Office Suite 2000 on the new machine and tried to open our documents. Each document is formatted with different fonts. Can anyone tell me why this might be happening? What can I do to get our old formatting back...
I feel very stupid for asking this. I just "inherited" a cisco 3500 switch and a 2600 router. I can access each through a browser, but can't change the passwords in them. I know nothing about Cisco equipment and am accustomed to dealing with Sonicwall and 3com. I realize this is a...

We are a small computer shop with clients that have Sonicwall VPN boxes. We would like to setup a box for our office with SA's to each client, making us the "hub", so we can remote access to them to troubleshoot problems.
Is anyone else doing this? If so, any ideas what problems we...
I know this is an easy one, I'm new to vb coding.
I have a database that tracks service tickets. When we click a command button to add a new record, we need to have the serviceid field increment it's number by one, but it needs to use the highest number. Any tips would be very much appreciated...
Has anyone had much luck running a Dos app (btrieve database) in terminal services in Application mode?
I'm wondering if I should spend the time to test it or if it's been known to be very difficult?
Any comments would be truly appreciated...
Thanks everyone,
Eric
VNC is a great program, but I had a problem with having to triple click on things when I should have double clicked. Single clicking on an object required me to double click.
If it wasn't for that, we'd be die-hard VNC users...
Has everyone else had this problem???
I have Cnet, Linksys, Dlink, as well as 3Com switches at many locations. Many of them have the same issue. All ports blink at the same time. I thought the purpose of a switch was to intelligently route traffic to it's destination only and not broadcast to all ports. I understand that there is...
I have a database that was written by another programmer that has since "fell off the face of the earth". The database was written in btrieve using the dta extensions. How can I convert the data so that I may rewrite the app in Access? I'd also like to preserve the linking if possible...
I want to be able to make a new entry in my ServiceDetails Table from a form linked to the main service table.
When I click the button, I'd like the ServiceDetails subform to appear with the ServiceID field already filled in, linking the records. However I can't figure out how to fill in the...
