5100 streamline dsl modem shared internet connection
Hello, I have a streamline 5100 dsl modem. It is hooked via ethernet to my desktop. I also have a 5 port switch and my desktop (via a 2nd ethernet card) and my laptop are hooked up to. menu on desktop (xp pro) can't get off?
I have a menu on the right side of the desktop (xp pro). it looks like a folder menu that you can't right click it and you can't get it off. Any ideas let me know.- jcrossno

modem error 692 How can I make sure modem is bad
they can't connect to the internet via aol 7.0. I get a message the modem has reported that there is not dialtone. Is there a way to test the modem and find out if it is bad? Also is there any programs that might be keeping this from working windows xp is my os. I am fixing this for a friend...
