    lost all sound

    I just came back from fishing and find that I no longer have any sound ! All the wires are on but outside of that,no one is talking. It looks like the player is running but not a note. I have more than one player and they all act the same. Worked fine before I left . Steve

    Can't hear Sound

    I get no sound out but it looks like the sound is playing .I ran Directx diag and got [ 0x80004005 generic failure ] .The device is " C-Media Wave ". I try to load a new driver and it say that I am missing a system file . I sure need some help on this one ! I don't know which way to go ! SB

    When does the video card outrun the FBA ? Is there some simple formula ? Is there a way to figure out , at what point the FBS becomes the bottle neck the system as appose to the video card ? Steve
