    Forgotten login password

A colleague has an Apple Mac laptop which is useless because he has forgotten his login password. Apparently (unlike windows) you cannot just create another user. Has anybody aqny ideas on how to turn this expensive paperweight back into a (slightly) useful tool? I know nothing about Apple Macs...

    Accessing dos dates

I need to write a function that will accept a file-name (with or without a path) and return the "dos-date" - the date that the file was last updated. Is there a sys() command or library function that I can use, or has ybody attempted this previously. I am using 2.6 for DOS. Thanks
