search dhcp server for ip address?
i need a script to search our windows 2000 dhcp server for an ip address. for instance, if given an IP address i want to return the mac address. anyone have a way to do that? i have dhcpcmd and dhcpobjects that i'm looking into as possibilities but i'm not familiar with those enough to do... -

can i? how would i set that up? i thought at some point i read that ex2k could do this so i could send notices to all IM users but i may be thinking of lcs? not sure...- cfont

how do i set SMBIOSAssetTag
i know how to retrieve the SMBIOSAssetTag information but i need to know how to set it. i already tried .put_ but that didn't work. at least for me. i'd like to know if its possible and how to do it.
