I just installed Debian 2.2 r2 yesterday, and I've got pretty much everything working except that I can't start X. It won't find my mouse. The mouse is a MS Intellimouse Optical USB. I even downloaded the latest version of the Kernel and turned on all the USB support when I made the image. I...
I've tried pretty much everything on this one. Off and on, when i launch something that uses DirectX I get a memory dump on nv4_disp.dll. I upgraded to DX8, the latest Detonator3 driver for my Elsa Gladiac (GeForce2 GTS 32mb), got the VIA patch that turns on AGP texturing support, and I still...
I've got a linux telnet server setup for dhcp in an NT domain, but I can't figure out how to give it a permanent name (like the computer names the rest of the 9x/nt network have). Right now, we have to find out the ip address every time it starts up so we can telnet in. I don't have much...
Amazingly enough, I was able to get my modem to work. With a combination of pnpdump, isapnp, and setserial, I was able to connect to my att service. Then I figured out that I hadn't setup ppp for my modem, so I couldn't browse the web or anything. I ran linuxconf, and setup all my dns stuff...

I just installed a DFE-530TX+ NIC, added client for ms networks, and restarted. The problem is that client for ms networks disappears every time I restart, so it won't work.
Any idea why it won't hang around?

I have a machine running AMD K6-2/400 win98, 64mb RAM, and recently it has started to have trouble loading files to start windows, and has been getting blue screens of death. Just now, when I tried to start it up, it wouldn't go, couldn't find win.com. I checked the hd, and most of the files...
