Stopping a pop-up window at system bootup

PCI Adapter Card + Insufficient Resolution
I have recently reinstalled Windows 98, after formatting my Hard drive. Now when I try to change the screen size and the color palette, it wont let me. I am unable to get any larger than 640x480 resolution or anything more than 16 colors. Do I need a new driver? Any help? Many Thanks (at least...- kayvan
