    What makes one PCI slot differnet from the other?

    When installing PCI cards, sometimes one slot works when another doesn't. for instance, I know of someone who had to install a SCSI card in PCI slot 0 or it wouldn't work. Can anyone tell me what makes them different? Thanks, Eelad

    When upgrading a system with on board video, I'm wondering just what the procedure would be. For instance, would I put the video back to standard vga mode, than install the new card, than disable the onboard video in the CMOS, or will that not work? Thanks, Eelad

    What processor is this?

    Hello. I'm working on a machine that is stalling durning boot up. When the Win98 logo appears you need to press "enter" in order to get it to continue booting. It only has 48MB of ram so, I was trying to find out out processor it is using without having to dig it out of the machine...

    Can't get addresses to come up in Outlook Express

    I have someone here that uses MS Word. He has is addresses all stored in Outlook Express. However, whenever he tries to access his addresses from MS Word, Outlook keeps coming up instead of Outlook Express. If any one can help me on this problem, it would be appreciated. Thanks, Dale

    CMOS ?

    Hi, I am curious as to rather or not enabling the ps/2 mouse function in the CMOS uses up one of the com ports. I figure it does because it uses serial, but I'm not to sure as to how the ps/s works. Thanks in advanced for your ideas.

    Can't get ms-dos mode configured with enough memory.

    I'm trying to install a dos game on win98/se. I need 555k conventional, and EMS memory. I can't get the config file for ms-dos mode to give enough. I did have it running on win95, no problem. Win98 does give enough memory but this game has to have ms-dos mode. Any ideas?
