I'm running Debian on an old laptop with a wireless card.
How can I "search" for available networks?
(In windows, I can bring up a screen that shows all the networks it can see)
I have AOL on XP Pro, and just ran Avast.
Now I can't get AOL mail.
I can bring up AOL's main screen, but when I check to log in, the login screen won't come up.
Any thoughts?

I can't change the background - when I right click on the background, then go to Properties, then the Desktop tab, all of the selections in the scroll box are disabled.
Also, IE won't save my default website, it goes to blank.

I have a Canon BJC-5100 (similar to 5000) and Canon has no drivers for XP for this printer.
Some of the sites suggest using a Win 2000 driver and modifying it with "BJCAngel", a special script.

I have a Tyan Trinity 400, model S1854
When I boot up, the keyboard is not found - Del or F1 keys do not work. In addition, the usual blinking of the num/alpha/scroll lock lights does not happen.
I've done the bios reset, any suggestions? What do those fuses by the cpu do?

Does anyone have any experience with any motherboards that support Celeron and registered PC133 SD ram? I have some of these, and want to use them up.
The Tyan Thunder HESL is one, but it is a two-socket board. I only need one 370 socket (Celeron is a sole-processor chip - two won't work)...
I have a small column of cells - say a1 through A10
I want to rotate these, so that A10 is now a1, A9 is A2, etc.
I have plenty of room - I can do this in two steps, if need be.

I'm in win2000 sp3. I try to install Internet explorer, but an error message tells me:
A previous install requires a reboot. Setup will stop" or something like that.
I try to reboot, but still get the message when I try reinstalling IE.

I'm using Windows 2000 and AOL 8.0
I'd like to get the SP 3 for Win 2k, but when I try to download it using the AOL browser, all I get is a screen of charavcters, boxes, etc. It looks like a binary file in notepad, or another editor.
Any ideas?
