Mandrake 7.1 for Alpha400 intallation problem!
I have an AlphaServer400, 64 MB RAM, SCSI disks, SCSI CD-ROM and VT510 terminal as the console (no PC keyboard and no graphics card). I have downloaded the Mandrake 7.1 ISO image and have burn a CD. The linux begins to boot, but hangs with the message "failed to open /dev/tty1"...- ResetGomb

Clipper 5.2 memo (dbt) field corruption
A Cipper 5.2 application uses 5 memo fields in a database. The database became corrupted if the number of blocks in the *.dbt file exceeded 65535. Why *$1 in *.class names?
I am beginner in Java. When I compile "progi.java" I get "progi.class" and "progi$1.class". I don't understand why. Can onybody help me? Thank you!
