Our application runs off of a file server where data resides. Small client side app executes and knows preconfigured location of shared folder and assigned mapped networked drive. How can access to dbfs be stopped from known shared folder on server?

I cannot recall when this started or how it came about...but everytime a user starts Win98 unit, she gets the Distributed Com Properties screen......I checked startup and nothing is there...any suggestions would be well appreciated .... for the most part she cancels out and continues ok....

We have a public calendar setup in our office.....unfortunately not everyone looks at it ... I know there is a reminder, but is there way to global control so that is is recurring until date of appointment and cannot be removed until then??
