We've "Inherited" a client with a SOHO3 firewall.
We've put in a new server for the client running SBS 2003 which all works fine, internet access works fine etc and internally, we can test remote desktop access to the point of accepting the certificate and getting to the login in screen on the...
Hi, I've got the following dilemma:
A client has Small Business Server 2000 service packed to v1a (exchange to SP3 as required).
The server died. We were called in and could only restore it by carrying out a new install of Small Business Server and then copying data across so, with regards to...
We've had to recover a server for a client and we have no idea how it was configured before or what problems there were. Couldn't restore the system state from the tapes so we have to go for a reinstall and then try to restore the data.
We've reinstalled the server as follows:

Hi guys,
Can anyone shed some light on this for me.
We have 3 E2k forests (companies), each with one domain.
Company a also connects to a fourth (company d) company using the groupwise connector.
Companies a and d have been connected for some time, and the other two companies have
recently...
Hi Guys,
This may sound like a stupid question but how on earth do I select users in only a specific OU for a recipient policy???
I can't find the correct syntax for the LDAP or the right query within the recipient policy dialog to do this. Can anyone help??
I can find and select the OU.

Hi,
Can anyone tell me if this may work?
We have to share a name space with another 3 companies.
We will be accepting all mail for company.com
We will want to route this accordingly to either us, 1.compay.com, 2.company.com or 3.company.com via the WAN.
In the AD I want to have a seperate OU...
Hi,
When sending email to specific contacts in AD the system recognises them as GWISE address but tries to send them over SMTP. I can see them hit the Mailsweeper box. The GWISE connector is not on the RGMaster but on a different server. Incoming mail and dirsync works fine over the connector...
Hi, this is related to a groupwise issue I've been having.
Groupwise connector is running on 5.5 (cost 1)
Routing group master is e2k
I have another e2k box to be the new bridgehead on which I've installed another groupwise connector (cost 10)
If the 5.5. box dies (simulated by shutting it...
I'm in a mixed environment 5.5/e2k.
I have installed a new e2k server (the second) which is to be a gateway and will route all internet mail and mail to our parent company via the groupwise connector.
First, the GSNW solution from MS was unsuable so I installed the Novell Client. I can now...
Hi all,
We've got an E2K server which we want to mirror at our disaster rcovery site. We've got a lan extension to the site (10mbit).
Where on earth do I start with this? Should I cluster?
Thanks.
Am I being stupid, have I missed something here?
How do I connect our E2K domain to ANOTHER foreign E2K domain and share our address book? Both forests (companya.com & companya.co.uk, don't ask!)have private connectivity over a WAN though are seperate.
I assume that somehow I import users as...
I've got OWA installed and external access works fine to all mailboxes and public folders apart from a single public calendar folder. Other public folders and calendars work fine.
When anyone tries to access it, it comes up with a 404 error from IIS.
I have a front end back configuration...
I have an enterprise server, server A containing mailboxes and public folders. Web access on this server works perfectly.
I just added a front end server, server B.
Web access is fine, except for public folders.
When a user intially logs in to the OWA on the front end server, the inbox appears...
In ex5.5 you can use the logging options to save a copy of every inbound and outbound mail that flows throught the IMC.
What can I do to replicate this behaviour on E2k???
I can't seem to find anything about it anywhere!
Thanks!
Following scenario:
We have one exch5.5 server and one E2k server.
I want to remove the 5.5 server.
Internet mail is sorted, but we have a groupwise connector to another office running. I need to migrate this connector somehow to E2k.
Assumed I would follow same steps as for the IMC to SMTP...
Easy question for one of you gurus:
I am running E2k in a mixed environment with ex5.5.
If I want to run a front end/back end configuration for OWA (this is running on the e2k box and NOT on the ex5.5 box) do I have to remove the 5.5 server and be runnig in native mode or will it work...
