With no experience of MACS at all we have a question ! (tho not solely a MAC question - hence it being here !)
Situation =
A customer of ours has =
A MAC LAN / WAN network working fine.
A new Windows LAN / WAN all working fine.
This new network uses a NAS box as a central file...
How dangerous is it to put a PC (running XP) that is suspected to have a virus, perhaps even a rootkit type, onto my LAN network when my network workgroup is called "fred" and the suspect PC's workgroup is called "alice" ?
Note I would check that netbui is not enabled, as I know this protocol...

File and Printer shareing
QoS Packet scheduler
Then re-booted
Then re-install the above
Checked TCPIP config

When a Win98 pc is logging on to a LAN that requires a password, the login window has a tick box that offers to save the password in the password list file (.pwl).

Simple question - Is there any way of using Norton Ghost to create an image of your exixting XP build, and transfer it to another type of hard drive, ( as you may wish to do if you are upgrading your HDD )without the fatal "blue screen of death" complaining about the new drive ? - JB
