I am having a bit of an odd issue with Outlook 2003 and the read message receipts. I have an IMAP account. When I receive messages from my boss who has "require read receipt" checked, my Outlook sends the "message read" receipt to my boss after I have read it. Although I have a tendency to...
For about 3 months now I have had a Linksys VPN router installed in the main office and using SSH Sentinel I would VPN in. Luckly the VPN still works. But for some reason I cannot connect to a machine on the interal side after I make the VPN connection. I used to just go to START -> RUN...
ok. Well I have a VPN setup. With a Linksys BEFVP41 and SSH Sentinel VPN client I am establishing an IPSec VPN.
During my testing on a test network the VPN client was able to ping and access directories on the "server" via windows file sharing.
So I have put the vpn router in production...

Thanks!

I am currently in the process of setting up a new Linksys BEFVP41 VPN Router. We have a remote site that we are going to establish a VPN tunnel with, and we are going to have traveling users that will be using broadband or whatever internet they get on the road that are going to connect to this...
I have a user across a VPN that when she goes to run an application from the Web Interface she gets the following error:
"No Valid NFuse_farm setting"
On the firewall we have opened her machine to access port 80 on the web interface and opened full access to each of our citrix servers. So I...
Well in light of a recent hard drive crash in my house (sister’s computer). I needed to come up with an easy AUTOMATED backup solution. I back my stuff up between two computers. So there is no one single point of failure. But my parents and sister really didn’t have too much as far as...
Well you know what they say... if it ain't broke don't fix it... right?
Well if you system is running fine then there is no need to back it up.... right?
Well unfortunately that is the mentality of most people. They don't back anything up and then BOOM. After that day they come up with a...
In light of a hard drive failure (drive is in the freezer now) of my sister's computer I have decided I needed a better way to back stuff up. I have my important stuff backed up on other machines, etc. But I need a way for the rest of my family to automatically back stuff up.
I know there is...

I was wondering if any body has done any installations with these new machines with Server 2003? When you did the install did you have to hit F6 to load third party SCSI drivers or is it supported by Server 2003?
I would test this myself, but I don't have any at my location to try.
Thanks!!!
I was just wondering what you folks do about remote users and domain password policies?

After 90 days how would the OWA users change their password after...
If all I want to be able to do it remote administration do I need to add the Terminal Service role?
It is my understanding that remote administration is already turned on with a default installation and that the only reason to add the TS role would be for application serving. Am I correct?

I was wondering if somebody could point me to the right class and property to find the file size or directory size on a remote machine.
I have looked into Win32_Directory but I don't think it gave me the size of the directory. At least not that I could find.
I know how to get disk size...
I am currently using the NETDOM command to join a computer to the domain via script. The join puts the computer into the doamin and the corisponding OU. But can I also put the machine into its correct group at the same time

Is there anyway to run a spyware/adware removal tool on my machine to perform the action on another machine on my network. I have administrative rights on the other machine.
I wouldn't even mind if I had to buy the tool.
It would be a lot easer for me to clean the machines in my office if I...
