I have a Win 98 box at home and have a CMOS and screensaver password, but I'm embarrassed to admit that the kids know they can reboot (ctrl-alt-del) and get by this. Is there any way to completely password protect it, even if they reboot it? I really don't even mess with 98 that much anymore...
I have a client running XP at home and she is aggravated by the fact that whenever she goes into 'Documents and Settings' her old hotmail login screen appears. She has no reason for this and since she accesses 'D and S' alot, she wants to know how to stop that.

A friend of mine has a win 98 pc and a newly purchased XP pc and wants to network the two. Easy enough, I'm sure, but one pc (XP) has cable internet access and wants to be able to access the net via the 98 pc if need.

I have a box here running win 98 and just checking it out, I went to run scandisk.....I get an error that there is not enough memory to run it and to shut down other programs. I shut everything else down....same message.
I reboot in safe mode...same message and, of course, we know for sure...
