How many major numbers does SCO Openserver 5.0.7 support? I heard rumors that it can support up to 1024. On a test install, I maxed out at 256. Can this value be tuned at all? The 256 limit is a huge restriction for my system.
I occasionally have runaway processes on my Openserver 5.0.6 server. They are non-root processes. At night and over the weekends, these processes can consume all of the cpu power. Are there any scripts that can automatically recognize and kill these runaway processes?
