    WIndows 2000 printer prints garbage on startup

    I have a Win2k machine that prints several 'U' characters to my HP LaserJet 4L upon system startup. Everything else seems fine. Sometimes it's 1 'U', sometimes it's 5. Not a big deal but I have to leave the paper tray out and then cancel the job on the printer or it wastes paper. Very annoying...
