I have been dealing with tech support with my soundcard and they have told me to disable ACPI in BIOS, reformat my HD and reinstall XP and disable ACPI during the reinstall.
The only thing in my BIOS about ACPI is 'ACPI Sleep Mode'. The only two options that I have to set it for are 'S1/POS'...
I want to format my HDs and start from scratch, but I have heard that it is a difficult process when you have NTFS drives.

When I try to defrag my NTFS drive it locks up my computer every time. How can I get WinXP to defrag without locking up using the included defragmenter? Does anybody have any suggestions?

Everytime I run Disk Defragmenter in WinXP to fragment my NTFS drive it locks up whenever it tries to move files. It defragments my FAT32 drive just fine. Does anybody know how to help it finish the job?

I launched IE6 the other day and when it came up, my fonts were twice the size as normal. I hate the look of it.
