In wordperfect I use a function keyboard/merge for legal document. I need to utilize this same function in Word XP. Can I use mail merge or is there something else? If so, does mail merge allow you to use a word document as a data file?

I have been trying to do a mail merge with an excel worksheet and the columns formatted with currency and percentages do not merge with the same format. The percentages are rounding out, i.e. 6% showing .5999999, and the currency is not showing $ symbol. Can you help?
