    system commands from PL/SQL

    Hi, I have a question - is it possible to call a system command from PL/SQL stored procedure? If it is how to call *.bat program ? Thanks for any hints.

    I need to connect to JMS Bridge from Oracle. Is there anybody who can help me how to create Java stored procedure, which will establish a connection and then send and receive messages ? Assume that I am completely new in Java ;-)
