Can anyone provide a sample configuration for a Cisco Router as an IPsec tunnel terminator?
What configuration should be set on the Contivity client?
It seems like my Cisco router is not understanding the parameters the Contivity sends.
Below is the config following a debug output...

Hello,
When using Baynetworks Frame Relay switches, has anyone know how a port, configured as PVC-Backup, works?
Let´s assume there's two main locations, which ideally hold same addressing on both WAN/PVC and LAN interfaces, and a bunch of remote nodes. Every node has one PVC pointing toward...
Hello,
Obviously this may not be the right forum to drop this question off. Nevertheless I couldn't find a more suitable one. Here is my question, does anyone know or could provide a general guidelines on how to know what hardware a Nokia box should need?
I know RAM, for instance, should be...
Hi all,
My network consists of nearly 800 end-users, 200 of which are divided into 50 remote nodes having some DS0s, 128ks, and 256ks links. The 500 left are hosts connecting via dialup. At the Central Node where a T1 lies, a web/email server services these hosts. Is a Nokia IP380 enough to...
All,
Is it possible settting up a site-to-site VPN IpSec tunnel if having the remote site with dynamic IP address?
Any pointers and sample configurations will be greatly appreciated.
cheers,
Hello,
Has anyone lately set up a VPN session between these two different vendor devices? If so, could you provide configuration samples? What is it needed to successfully accomplish this? The Cisco 800 is to establish a VPN session towards the Contivity, provided that end users won't need to...
Can VPN tunnels be setup on a demand basis? Or is a VPN connection established between, for instance, a Cisco 8xx and a VPN concentrator, a permanent connection?
My questions on this is because I am looking a way of using a broadband connection-which is ADSL-as a backup link. My network already...

Hello,
Has anyone lately set up a VPN session between these two different vendor devices? If so, could you provide configuration samples? What is it needed to successfully accomplish this? I would like to use the Contivity as a 500-tunnel, or more, concentrator. Whereas the Cisco 800 on each of...
Hello,
My two locations are independetly serviced by the same ISP, but in different cities. Each ISP location houses a server farm. Do you know if there is a way of joining these two server farms as if were in the same LAN? The reason behind this is for making farm server1 the backup of farm...
Why would you want to limit on bandwidth? Need to limit on a per subnet basis? Could you elaborate on what you intend to do?
Committed Access Rate and Traffic Shaping may be what you are looking for. Can't tell now until you let know a bit more.
best regards,

My scenario is straight forward, hope you can help me. You see, Port Fa0/0 of a Cat 2950 is doing trunking 802dot1q and the rest of ports (0/1-0/11) access. Each access port was assigned a different vlan (vlan 2 thru vlan 12 resp).
This is mainly because each port has a special set of users...

First off, I'm not sure whether to post this issue in this forum. Else let me know where it should be at.
Listen, our Telco will provide us an Internet 128kbps link and will deliver it on an E1 G.703 line. However, since our Cisco 7206 has no serial E1 port adapter I went over Cisco site but...
Has anyone applied Committed Access Rate on Frame Relay subinteraces?
After receiving a 128kbps circtuit, a second PVC was configured temporarily. Nevertheless, I'm looking for this second pvc not to take up the whole 128kbps and instead rate limit it up to 64kbps both input and outputwise...

Being sort of new using Frame Relay, I would like to know what difference does it make whether I use a map-class or set parameters (for instance applying a policy map)directly on an interface?
For instance:
map-class frame-relay map1
service-policy output dosomething
no frame-relay...
Back on december 2002 someone posted the above quoted paragraph. Knowing beforehand that some of you may think "why the h*ll do you want to go over it?" I kindly ask to let know your comments whatsoever.

Hello,
My scenario is way straight forward in which port Fa0/0 is configured as trunk 802dot1q and the rest of them (ports 0/1-0/11) as access ports. Each access port was assigned a different vlan. This is because each port has a special set of users and by no means I must make sure traffic...
