    Updating system bootdisk with mkbootdisk redhat8.0

    I have updated the kernel of Redhat 8.0 and need to update the system bootdisk. I have gotten the info from Redhat of how to use mkbootdisk, by su, getting the kernel, and placing the command of mkbootdisk --device etc. All I get is bash not a command.Cpu 1000 Athon, 512 memory, voodoo3 graphics.
