CDRW isn't recognized
can someone help me out. I've just installed a cdrw drive and it seemed like it was working fine then the led light came on and stayed on. Nothin can be done with the drive and now it doesn't respond at all even after reboot. I've tried configuring the bios and alternate ide cables. They...- rastabost

Won't detect my cdrom!
Ok I've just gotten a new comp from a friend and all works great. Except that If I have my harddrive on IDE1 it's fine, but it won't detect my cdrom on IDE2. If i hook up the CDrom on IDE2 and change the jumpers it sometimes finds that, but then it won't detect the hard drive! what's up with this?- rastabost
