The 'normal' view in my Outlook is extremely narrow, and whenever I go to reply to a message the reply opens in 'normal.' Can I modify the 'normal' view settings to increase the width (better option), or, failing that, at least change the default view for replies from 'normal' to 'web layout'...
Tab palette used to work fine, but when I click for it now it comes up blank -- no ruler, leader box, magnet or other gizmos. Problem persists despite what text is selected or tool is in use. Any suggestions for getting it back short of reloading the program (and losing a load of preferences)?
I receive several e-mails each day that I then forward to another e-mail address (to the same address in all cases). Is there some way to automate this process, eliminating the need to hit "forward," then type in the name, then hit "send." I currently use the keyboard shortcuts for these three...
In the "save as" box there are five shortcuts in the lower lefthand box. Is there some way to either add other shortcuts to this list or to change those that are there to more useful destinations (as is easily done with the "tools" option in the comparable Word box)?
When two ID files are open at the same time, is there a quick way (perhaps a keyboard shortcut) to toggle from one to the other -- without having to minimize each and click back and forth?
Can't seem to get the end of a story started in one file to jump to readily to another file (as opposed to another page in the same file). Drag and drop doesn't seem to work in this situation. Clipboard does, but the process is seems unduely cumbersome and time consuming. Better way?
Just getting the hang of this. Two questions:
Is it possible to print out selections rather than full pages?
Can unused function keys be programmed to select tools from the tool bar (by mouse clicks rather than the preset keyboard strokes)?
Thanks
Is there a way to set up a rule so that when an e-mail message from a particular sender (not all e-mails) arrives an icon will appear in whatever other program I happen to be working in at the moment?
Once a photo has been placed in a photo box is there a way to shrink or enlarge it (staying within the confines of the box), other than by going down and entering new figures for both the X and Y axis percentages at the bottom of the screen. This works, but seems unduely slow and cumbersome. Thanks
